We took a trip to Lowe's yesterday to buy some lumber.

I am going to attempt to build a dining room table.  Specifically this one:

That table is from Resoration Hardware.  It costs $2595.  I'll be spending under $200 (assuming everything goes well).  I got the plans here: Ana-White.com.

Hopefully I can do this without losing any fingers!

Dinner with Andrea and Patrick

My lovely friend Andrea and her sweet boyfriend Patrick came over for dinner this weekend.  We had hamburgers (meat for the boys, veggie/vegan for the girls).  Andrea brought some vegan red velvet cupcakes and vegan slaw, both of which were delicious.

After dinner we played a hilarious game of Life.  I grew up playing the old version and this new version is just as fun!

July 4th 2011

This year for the 4th, we went to Lucedale, MS to visit with Eric's family.  It was like a mini family-reunion.  I think there were almost 50 people there!

The weather was hot, but the kids insisted on playing baseball outside.  William only wanted me to pitch to him.  I have no idea why since I have no sports ability at all.

We got to visit with cousins who we haven't seen in a while.
